Introduction to HuWY
The HUWY project aims to involve young people in making policies and laws which affect the Internet (national and EU laws). HUWY is a pilot project, sponsored by the European Commission and based in 4 countries: Ireland, Germany, Estonia and UK.
We are working with young people to choose the first topics and put together useful information (interesting and realistic). HUWY will help youth groups and young people to look at the topics on their own web pages. Then come back to us with results and ideas.
We are also working with people involved in Internet policies (e.g. in Governments) who will pass these ideas to members of parliament (and EU parliament) making relevant laws.
HUWY online Hubs hold the useful information, space for results from young people’s discussions and feedback from policy-makers.
